Services

At First Class Bookkeeping, I know how difficult it can sometimes be to keep on top of all the paperwork required by HMRC.

I offer the following services which will make your life easier and allow you time to pursue what is important to you.

Bookkeeping

Helping you make sense of all your paperwork on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis, using computerised systems such as Xero and Dext.  Make processing your supplier invoices as simple as taking a photo.  One-click reconciliation for sales and supplier invoices and bank accounts.  Say goodbye to keeping piles of receipts and invoices – I can help you remain compliant with all HMRC requirements for record-keeping without the need for you to keep these.

Knowing what is/is not a business expense is crucial to any type of business and I will provide you with guidance on what is/is not a business expense.

VAT – registration, reconciliation and submission

Do you know when you should register for VAT?  How often are the submission deadlines? What VAT can be claimed prior to registration?

Due to the effective, streamlined bookkeeping service I offer and regular checks on your turnover, I will identify whether you are required to register for VAT.  If so, I can help you with this process and explain the HMRC VAT expectations – when and how often – and what VAT you can claim prior to registration.

By using MTD (Making Tax Digital) for VAT software – Xero – your VAT returns will be completed and submitted before the quarterly deadlines set by HMRC.

Tax Returns – Sole Traders and Partnerships

Tax returns don’t have to be taxing, however, by being guided on what is/is not a business expense, you can avoid costly mistakes with HMRC.

By keeping your records up to date using my bookkeeping service, my aim is to save you time and worry by completing your self-assessment, and/or partnership returns, in a timely, compliant manner.
